How do I become a member?

In order to become a CLRN member (and obtain your membership number) you must pay a fee (see below for rates) & also complete a Membership Form. 

Who can be a member?

Anyone with an interest in Cultural Literacy can become a member.

How long is the membership?

Membership normally runs for a year following the date of joining. You will have to renew your membership annually.
There is also a discounted option for a 2-year membership.

What are the benefits of membership?

Members of CLRN join and support a vibrant international community dedicated to common goals and networking through the website, online and offline events, symposia and conferences. They are entitled to

  • a discounted rate for CLRN Conferences, interim workshops and other CLRN activities;
  • apply for bursaries at Biennial Conferences and other events;
  • become involved with SIGs [Special Interest Groups];
  • apply for annual competitions for research support;
  • participate in earmarked Early-career events, if eligible;
  • attend Annual General Meetings, with voting rights;
  • elect and/or stand for election to the CLRN Steering Group;
  • be entered on the CLRN mailing-list;
  • be listed as members on the CLRN website.
